Filling the Cybersecurity Skills Gap

In an effort to diversify the local economy and to create quality employment opportunities in the community, the LindenPointe Development Corp. will be conducting computer science and cybersecurity training programs starting in the 2022/2023 academic year. Our current course offerings include Introduction to Computer Concepts, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+. These courses are set to meet once a week. Contact the PCC team for an updated schedule for more information.

The LindenPointe team is also currently investigating adding an immersive team-based learning program which will have students participate in attack simulation scenarios and missions as part of their learning experience. These missions will be capstone events at the end of a course to provide students the opportunity to leverage the knowledge/skills they acquired through the course curriculum and apply it in a team-based attack response scenario. More information will be provided to classes once these missions are active.

These events will offer students the ability to apply their skills in a live-fire, real world environment that will give them valuable experience as they enter the cyber security workforce.
