In an effort to diversify the local economy and to create quality employment opportunities in the community, the LindenPointe Development Corp. will be conducting computer science and cybersecurity training programs starting in the 2022/2023 academic year. The first courses that will be offered to the community will be CompTIA Security+, and Cisco Networking Certification classes.
While these courses will allow students to attend class and work with self-paced curriculum and labs, LindenPointe is also interested in adding immersive team-based learning to the program which will have students participate in attack simulation scenario and missions as part of their learning experience. Using the Cloud Range Missions as capstone events at the end of a course provides students the opportunity to leverage the knowledge/skills they acquired through the course curriculum and apply it in a team-based attack response scenario.
Through these events, students will apply these skills in a live-fire, real world environment that will give them valuable experience as they enter the cyber security workforce.
